Sending a Mail/Care Package

The Louisville Jail does not keep inmates for very long. Most of the time within a few days to a few hours the inmates who are going to be heading to trial and who could not post bail will be sent off to the Barbour County Jail.

This means inmates are not allowed to get packages and/or mail.

Sending Money

As previously mentioned about inmates leaving within a few hours to a few days, inmates when they are in the Louisville Jail will not need any funds. You will need to wait until they get to the county jail.

Phone calls

Inmates will have access to the telephone when they are going through the booking process. Inmates will be given one free phone call to whoever they please. After that, inmates will need to wait until they are transferred to the county jail.

Visitation

Since the inmates in the Louisville Jail are only here for a few hours to a few days, they are not permitted to have visitors. You will need to wait until they have been transferred to a county jail before you will be able to visit them.
